Our pastor, Johnathan Newman, understands the value of a family-friendly church. He and his wife, Jeni, have three active kids: Joshua, Jesse, and Julia. Johnathan received his undergraduate degree at Union University and his M.Div. at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. After serving on staff at a large church in Memphis for several years, God called he and Jeni to move to Troy to start a new church, which God has blessed and grown. Johnathan loves teaching God's Word and has a great passion for missions and biblical counseling. He is a certified counselor with the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors.

Heather Rannells serves as our part-time assistant. She and her husband Chris are a great picture of true servants, faithfully using their gifts and talents for God in a number of ways at Koinos. They have one son, Joseph. When Heather is not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, shopping, and curling up on the couch with her sweet son for a good nap.
